Jeremy Reese

Biography:
My name is Jeremy Reese and I'm from Columbus, Ohio. My fishing roots come from my grandfather who was a successful walleye fisherman on Lake Erie. Growing up doing just that led to a deep love and passion for the Great Lakes fisheries. At age 12 my bass fishing chapter opened and has not stopped since. Although I have had the opportunity to chase bass all around the Eastern United States, my focus remains on Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair hunting giant bronzebacks. My fishing mentors and friends mean the most to me, and when not on the water you can find me with them or in my shop preparing for my next trip!

Plans for 2023:
In 2023 I will be fishing the Michigan and Ohio MLF BFL divisions along with an Ohio team series.

Previous Wins
Multiple top 10s in Michigan BFL division including a win in 2022.
Multiple top 5’s in Ohio’s premier series, Ohio Megabass Tournament Trail.
2015 and 2016 Bassmaster High School National Championship qualifier

Electronics Set Up:
Fishing the Great Lakes you have so much water to cover and being efficient with my electronics is what I credit much of my success too. I only fish areas where I have scanned and visibly see fish on my electronics prior to dropping my Minn Kota Ultrex into the water. I choose to rely on three brands of electronics, utilizing each for their strengths. At my console I run a Lowrance HDS 12. This allows me to break my screen into 4 screens while searching areas. I run a full side scan image along the bottom and divide downscan, sonar, and GPS along the top of the screen. At my bow you'll find three units for 3 reasons. Looking straight down you'll see a Lowrance HDS 12 with the same layout as the console unit. Above it is what I like to call my underwater eyeballs, a Garmin 126sv Echomap Ultra for Panoptix Plus. Lastly for my third bow unit, I choose to run a Humminbird Helix 12 for Mega 360 imaging. Running these units for their strengths allows me to efficiently and effectively cover impressive amounts of water in a single day.
